GEC Student Earns his Eagle Scout
Wyatt Grantham, a Greene Early College senior, recently received the rank of Eagle Scout, the most prestigious achievement in the Scouting world. Attended by family, friends and fellow scouts, the official ceremony was held February 18, 2023 at Calvary Memorial Methodist Church, Snow Hill.

Garrett Jenkins of Trenton came to Lenoir Community College (LCC) with plans to attain his High School Equivalency Diploma. With the help of his dedicated teacher, Fred Seymour, and some nudging encouraging words from his Career Advisor Tracey Price, he attained this goal in July 2021.

I worked with Professor John Hoppenthaler for several years after he joined the faculty of East Carolina’s Department of English. He brought energy and enthusiasm to the classes he taught. GCHS National Technical Honor Society Inducts 53
On Friday, March 31, Greene Central High School inducted 53 new members into their chapter of the National Technical Honor Society. The new members had to have the following requirements in order to be inducted: 3.0 GPA, having taken at least 2 CTE courses, and most important teacher recommendation.
