The 4th Annual Governor’s School Supply Drive is being extended to encourage more donations for supplies to support North Carolina students and teachers. “Supporting students and schools in these challenging times takes just a few clicks and a few minutes,” Gov. Cooper said. “Kristin and I have made our personal contribution and we hope you can too.”
Mr. Andre Whitfield, principal of Southeast Elementary School, accepted donations of school supplies from Queen Street UMC prior to the opening of school. Queen Street Church has partnered with Southeast School for the past 20 years through their Hand in Hand ministry.
Boy Scouts Troop 41, Police Explorers 1033, the Kinston Community Relations Team and the Kinston Police Department teamed up for a school supplies drive on Sunday.
