Governor Roy Cooper announced $1.3 million in grants to 42 public school districts and public charter schools across North Carolina to expand access to healthy school breakfast for more than 51,000 students. The NC Innovative School Breakfast Grants were funded through federal funds directed by the Governor in October 2023.
On February 5, 2022, the 1734 Cafe opened in Trenton. The cafe, owned by Andrea Eubank, features coffees, espresso, lattes and other beverages and breakfast, lunch, or munch menu. The 1734 Cafe is at 130 W. Jones Street, in Trenton.
The Farmer and the Dail, nestled between acres of farmland near Greene County Middle School, is home to breakfast treats of chicken minis and biscuits bombs and decadent desserts of chocolate cheesecake squares and snickerdoodles, to name a few.
