Obituary: Sue Griffin Haddock
Sue Griffin Haddock, 79, passed away at UNC Health Care in Kinston, NC, on July 21, 2026.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, 3 PM, at Edwards Funeral Home in Kinston, NC. The family will receive friends thirty minutes before the service.
Born in Jones County on December 6, 1946, to Roy and Louise Griffin, Sue spent her working years at Arendell Parrott Academy in food services. Sue had a kind heart, and she will be missed by all that knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four siblings; her brother, Gerrold Griffin and her sisters, Frances Sutton, Jean Carol Metts, and Gail Parker.
Sue is survived by her husband, Doug Haddock; daughter, Cindy Mingin of the home; son, Johnny Jarman and wife Anna, of LaGrange; and her grandson, Johnathan Teal Jarman and his wife Reagan of LaGrange.
