Catch 22 Seafood Restaurant to open second location in Goldsboro

Catch 22 Seafood Restaurant is expanding beyond Kinston with plans to open a second location in Goldsboro.

The family-owned seafood restaurant, located at 1602 N. Queen St. in Kinston, announced it is hiring for the new location and will hold on-site interviews from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 7 and 8 at 1206 N. Berkeley Blvd. A in Goldsboro.

The restaurant is looking for team members to help serve “great food and great service,” according to its hiring announcement. Applicants are encouraged to come prepared to interview.

Catch 22 opened its Kinston location in July 2023 as a Southern fried seafood-style restaurant. The business was launched by AJ and Cris Jones, along with their son Caleb, after the family previously operated a food truck. Its menu has included seafood staples such as shrimp, flounder, salmon, oysters and fish plates, along with sides including fries, coleslaw, potato salad, cornbread and desserts.

The expansion gives Catch 22 a second eastern North Carolina location while keeping the same seafood-focused flavor that helped establish the Kinston restaurant.

“Two locations, same Catch 22 flavor,” the restaurant said in its announcement.
