Help wanted: Economic Development Region - Communications & Marketing Manager

As a member of the Economic Development Region with Lenoir County Government, you can make a difference! The agency is seeking candidates for the Communications and Marketing Manager. Candidates in this classification will lead strategic regional marketing initiatives in collaboration with member organizations in Greene, Lenoir and Wayne Counties as well as the North Carolina Global TransPark. This position is designed for a dynamic professional who is creative, detailed oriented, and eager to learn new tools and technologies.

An Employee in this class is a go getter who can manage multiple projects independently, lead creative efforts from concept to completion, and work effectively as part of a team. This person must be comfortable engaging with business leaders, community partners, and the public, and be committed to promoting the success of the region they represent.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations or related field is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar graphic design software.

• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License

• Pass a criminal background check
