Parking area at Brock Mill Pond to close during improvements

Jones County officials announced that the parking area across from Brock Mill Pond will be temporarily closed over the next several weeks while construction work is underway.

The project is part of planned improvements at the popular community space. According to the county, the upgrades will include restrooms, walking trails, picnic tables and other amenities.

The county shared a notice with a photo of Brock Mill Pond and a map-style image identifying the parking area affected by the closure. The notice asks visitors to be patient while work continues and to use caution near the construction area.

Visitors should follow all posted signs while crews are working in the area.
