Back to School season is here and Guardian ad Litem is seeking Volunteers!
As children head back to school, many are returning facing challenges that they should not have to carry alone. Every child deserves to start the school year feeling safe, seen, and heard.
Could you make a difference in the Life of a Child in our local community? We invite you to Volunteer for our Guardian ad Litem program (GAL).
Our GAL Volunteers advocate for the best interest of children involved in the child welfare system. As a volunteer you will have the chance to be a voice for these children and make a significant difference in their lives. We are currently in need of dedicated volunteers to join our team, no prior education or experience needed- only a willingness to care and the heart to show up for a child. If interested, the Guardian ad Litem Program (Wayne, Lenoir & Greene Counties) will be holding our next 6-week training beginning October 1, 2026-November 5, 2026, and we invite our local community to participate and be a voice for children.
Our Training is completely Virtual and takes place once a week on Thursday evening from 5:30pm-8:00pm.
You can apply to become a volunteer online through our website: www.VolunteerForGAL.org
