Jones County Committee of 100 annual meeting announced

TRENTON - The annual meeting of the Jones County Committee of 100 and the Economic Development Board will be held Thursday, September 17th at the Jones County Civic Center and we would be excited if you could join us.

The meeting is scheduled to begin with a social hour at 6PM followed by a meal that is being catered by Mel & Vel's Catering Service of Pollocksville.

At this year’s Annual Meeting plans are being made to have a few or our established businesses, as well as a few or our newer businesses tell their story so well are just a little bit more informed of the economic activity occurring today in Jones County. 

Additionally, several businesses and agencies will have exhibit tables set up that night, giving us an opportunity to learn more about business activity happening today in our county. 

The mission of the Jones County Committee of 100 is to support the expansion of economic activity by retaining current businesses, recruiting new businesses with the goal of expanding, retaining and creating quality jobs within Jones County.  

"We are excited to be bringing the community together," said Schumata Brown, Jones County Committee of 100 President, "and have a great conversation on how to spark economic opportunities in Jones County."

The cost to become a member of the Jones County Committee of 100 is $50 for individuals and $100 per year for businesses.
