UNC Health Lenoir Announces Temporary Seventh-Floor Relocation and Parking Adjustment During Air Handler Upgrades
UNC Health Lenoir will begin a scheduled upgrade to the hospital’s seventh floor air handler systems as part of its ongoing Master Facility Plan. Work will take place from Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17.
To safely complete this project, a large crane will be positioned on-site to lift and place equipment on the hospital roof. In the interest of safety all patients and staff currently located on the seventh floor will be temporarily relocated to another area of the hospital for the duration of the work.
In addition, the north side of the visitor parking lot, to the right of the fountain, will be closed during the project window. All clinical services remain open and fully operational on normal schedules. Directions will be available at entrances to assist patients and visitors.
