Help Wanted: EMT Community Paramedic
As a member of Emergency Services with Lenoir County Government, you can make a difference! The Emergency Medical Services Division is seeking candidates for an EMT Community Paramedic. The Candidate works with patients in their residential setting to provide proactive care that is intended to help improve the overall health and wellness of program participants. Expands access to non-urgent health care through in-home patient visits and/or community-based services and provides outreach education. Employee will consistently perform in compliance with their position descriptions and with the policies/procedures of the department. Performance is evaluated in cooperation with EMS Operations Manager, Training Officer, and Medical Director by observation and through review of records and reports. This position may supplement 911 responses during mass casualty incidents. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the EMS Operations Manager.

Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with 1-2 years of experience in Advanced Emergency Medical Services Work
• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License
• Credentialed by the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services as a Paramedic with a minimum of two (2) year's experience at the Paramedic level. Credentialling by the North Carolina Medical Care Commission is preferred but is not an exclusion from consideration.
• Completion of courses in Advance Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, International Trauma Life Support and Basic Life Support
• Completion of ICS 100, 200, 300, 700, and 800
