Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management
The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management is responsible for the administration and management of the admissions process, procedures, communications, reports, and records for all curriculum programs. This position provides strategic leadership and oversight for admissions office functions, ensuring a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that is student-focused and customer service oriented. The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management reports to the Dean of Student Services.
Qualifications
ยท Bachelor's degree in higher education, counseling, or a related field from an institutionally accredited institution is required; a master's degree is preferred
ยท Five years of experience in curriculum programming in higher education, admissions, or a related educational field is required
ยท Demonstrated ability to coordinate events, manage budgets, and advise students is preferred
ยท Supervisory experience is preferred
ยท Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse student population, faculty, staff, and community members
ยท Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
ยท Strong communication skills

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The duties of the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management include, but are not limited to:
ยท Ensure a student-focused, customer service-oriented Office of Admissions by providing support for staff, training in customer service, and a student first approach to all aspects of Admissions
ยท Hire, train, and supervise personnel within the Office of Admissions
ยท Implement communications with all applicants throughout the admissions process
ยท Oversee entering of student data into the customer relationship management system (CRM) and the management of applicant records up to the point of enrollment
ยท Regularly review and update auto-generated communications sent to students as part of the Collegeโs current CRM tool, ensuring input from program and administrative stakeholders
ยท Regularly update mailers sent to prospective students, in collaboration with Marketing and the Director of Recruiting and Student Engagement
ยท Assign advisees to advisors, in conjunction with the Director of Advising
ยท Initiate innovative and strategic methods to increase enrollment numbers
ยท Work with the Director of High School Programs & College Access to admit and register eligible high school students, ensuring processes are followed towards a clean audit for CCP students
ยท Manage the BLET admissions process to ensure guidelines are followed and students are properly documented
ยท Ensure the evaluation of all Health Sciences application packets; ranking all applicants by points after verification of points; coordinating notification to students of acceptance, alternate status, or denied status; and making replacements for declined positions in collaboration with the Dean of Health Sciences and Nursing and admissions staff
ยท Serve as the residency liaison for in-state tuition decisions using the NC Residency Guidelines
ยท Ensure state reciprocity guidelines are followed and coordinate the evaluation of students for admissions using NC-SARA guidelines
ยท Coordinate an orientation program, in collaboration with Admissions staff, curriculum deans, and the Director of Recruiting & Student Engagement for new students in fall and spring
ยท Oversee and annually update the online orientation for new students, in collaboration with LCC Online
ยท Oversee the coordination of the annual commencement ceremony, in collaboration with the Dean of Student Services and other staff
ยท Respond to inquiries from prospective students by telephone, email, and in person
ยท Make decisions regarding the validity of high school transcripts
ยท Serve as the administrator for the CFNC control center where all online applications originate
ยท Collaborate with Marketing and Recruiting staff to ensure upcoming Admissions events are well-advertised
ยท Work in conjunction with Admissions staff to ensure timely responses to student emails, phone calls, and in-person visits
ยท Ensure compliance with college, state, and federal regulations governing admissions processing and records retention
ยท Annually evaluate student conversion rates from interest to registration and recommend strategies for improvement
ยท Ensure accountability for student retention outside of classroom efforts
ยท Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Student Services
