Incident Report – Arrest for DWI and Drug Trafficking
On September 2, 2025, at approximately 8:10 AM, a deputy with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Vernon Avenue near Vernon Park Mall. The vehicle had been observed traveling erratically and crossing the centerline on Hull Road.
The driver, identified as Cynthia Carol Ingram of Lenoir County, showed clear signs of impairment. A deputy with the Governor’s Highway Safety Program responded to assist with the investigation.
Following a roadside evaluation, Ingram was arrested for Driving While Impaired (DWI). A search of her person revealed several pills, resulting in additional charges.

Ingram was booked into the Lenoir County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond.
