LCPS Board of Education approves several key leadership changes

At its June 2nd meeting, the LCPS Board of Education approved several key leadership changes that will guide our schools and programs into the future. These changes reflect the strength and depth of our school leadership and the district’s commitment to excellence. All administrative changes will be effective July 1:

Mr. Patrick Phillippe, current Principal of Woodington Middle School, was previously approved by the Board in May as the new LCPS Director of Facilities Management. Mr. Phillippe has been a dedicated school leader, and his operational expertise will serve the district well in this new role.

Mr. Jeremy Barnett has been named the next Principal of Woodington Middle School, moving from Moss Hill Elementary. Mr. Barnett, a former high school teacher and coach, has done an outstanding job at Moss Hill and is well-known in the Woodington community.

Mr. Rashard Curmon, Principal of Northeast Elementary, will become Director of Federal Programs. A highly sought-after leader, Mr. Curmon has chosen to remain with LCPS and continue serving our students and schools in this critical district role.

Mrs. Catherine Lynch has been named Principal of Moss Hill Elementary School. As a longtime curriculum and instructional leader at Moss Hill, Mrs. Lynch has played a key role in making the school stronger than ever. As a former assistant principal, she brings deep instructional knowledge and the trust of both staff and the community.

Mrs. Nichole Hathaway will become Principal of Northeast Elementary School, moving from her role as assistant principal at Contentnea-Savannah K-8. A standout in LCPS's Aspiring Principals program, Mrs. Hathaway is a respected leader and educator with the skills to take Northeast to even greater heights.

Mrs. Caroline Stucker has been named Assistant Principal of Contentnea-Savannah K-8 School. As a digital learning specialist and curriculum leader at Woodington Middle, Mrs. Stucker played a key role in the school’s instructional growth. A proven high-performing educator, she brings experience and strong instructional leadership to her new role.

These changes reflect our district’s investment in talent and leadership development. Please join us in congratulating these dedicated educators!
