Lenoir county man arrested for stealing copper from air conditioning units
A Lenoir County man was arrested earlier today by investigators with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office for breaking into a Deep Run residence in March and stealing copper from an air conditioning unit.
Dustin Garrett Grady, 32, was taken into custody after the man allegedly broke into a Quail Lane residence and multiple outbuildings on March 22. He is accused of dismantling the residence’s air conditioning unit and stealing the copper, coils and other parts for scrap metal purposes.
The LCSO’s C-Shift patrol deputies located Grady today and charged him with:
· Five felony counts of felony breaking and/or entering
· Felony obtaining property by false pretense
· Felony conspiracy
· Misdemeanor injury to real property
Grady received no bond due to being out of jail on pre-trial release.
