La Grange man jailed without bond after stolen gun, drugs found during probation check
A La Grange man is in jail without bond after being in possession of a stolen firearm and drugs while on probation.
Noah Ishmael Langston, 25, was arrested Sunday by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office when deputies were called to the 6200 block of Washington Street to assist with a routine check by N.C. Probation and Parole officers.
Probation officers and LCSO deputies located a firearm in Langston’s possession, along with cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A check of the serial number for the firearm showed the weapon had been reported stolen from Wayne County. Langston is also a validated gang member according to information from the N.C. Department of Corrections.
Langston was taken to the Lenoir County Jail, where he was charged with:
· Felony possession of firearm by a felon
· Felony possession of a stolen firearm
· Felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance (cocaine)
· Misdemeanor possession of Schedule VI controlled substance (marijuana)
· Misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia
Additional charges from Probation and Parole are pending from the probation violations. Langston received no bond due to being on pretrial release.
