Super Saturday brings food, art, and holiday cheer to Lenoir County Farmers Market

The Lenoir County Farmers Market will host its annual Super Saturday event on November 22, 2025, offering a full day of food, art, music, and holiday shopping in downtown Kinston. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the market’s location, 100 N. Herritage Street.

This year’s celebration promises to blend local flavor with festive spirit, featuring appearances by chef and author Vivian Howard, star of A Chef’s Life and Kitchen Curios, and Queen Street Deli owner Leraine Howard Tolston. Musician Bobby Merritt will provide live entertainment with guitar and vocals throughout the day.

“Super Saturday is one of our favorite traditions at the market,” said Pat Jenkins, market manager. “It’s our way of saying thank you to the community while showcasing everything that makes our local farmers, artists, and food vendors so special.”

Guest vendor Tilted Cap Mushrooms will join the lineup, alongside the market’s regular farmers and producers. Visitors can expect to find fresh produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, and unique holiday gifts, as well as free samples from many of the participating vendors.

“This is the time of year when people are thinking about gifts and gatherings,” Jenkins said. “What better way to celebrate the season than by supporting local growers and artisans while enjoying good food and live music?”

With the event extending into the early afternoon, the market will be filled with the sights, sounds, and scents of the holidays. “We’ll have something for everyone — from fresh mushrooms and jams to local artwork and home décor,” Jenkins added. “It’s a great way to spend the day in downtown Kinston.”

Super Saturday is free and open to the public. For updates and vendor highlights, follow the Lenoir County Farmers Market on Facebook.
