Salary: $31,200 - $36,000 Annually
Instructional Assistant โ Health Sciences
The Instructional Assistant - Health Sciences provides support to the instructors who teach in the Health Sciences area and to the Dean of Health Sciences and Nursing. In addition to performing general office duties for the instructors, this candidate will also manage various budgets and order supplies necessary for the smooth operation of the department.
Qualifications
ยท Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution
ยท Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and the use of a variety of office equipment to include fax machine, photocopier, scanner, and telephone systems
ยท Excellent typing, public relations, communications, and problem-solving skills
ยท Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
ยท Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
ยท Working knowledge of the Datatel Colleague system preferred
Working Conditions
ยท Typical office environment
ยท Frequently sitting/standing at a desk or workstation using a phone, computer, keyboard, and mouse; some standing and walking
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The duties of the Instructional Assistant - Health Sciences include, but are not limited to:
ยท Plan and schedule meetings and appointments
ยท Organize and maintain files
ยท Disseminate information by using the telephone, mail services, and e-mail
ยท Organize and maintain files to include, but not limited to, receiving program applications, utilizing data from the Datatel system, and scanning documentation
ยท Greet students and visitors
ยท Respond to phone requests for information
ยท Create spreadsheets, compose correspondence, and manage databases
ยท Schedule placement assessments
ยท Coordinate with other departments within the College
ยท Process budget requests and manage budget data
ยท Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
