Owners of the Plaza provide an update to yesterday's tornado

Perry Management posted the following on their Facebook page:

We would like to express our deepest thanks to the brave men and women of the Kinston Fire Department, Police Department and Kinston Utilities for their prompt and courageous response to the tornado we experienced yesterday at the Kinston Plaza. Your professionalism, expertise, and swift action were truly impressive! We are extremely grateful that no one was severely injured. We can replace roofs but are thankful our friends and neighbors are safe.

The Kinston Plaza will be back open for business today except for Furniture Fair, DMV office and the Post Office. We are working on moving the DMV to a temporary location at the other end of the Plaza very soon. We also will work diligently to get Furniture Fair and the Post Office back open as soon as we can.
