Feb 9 Third update to Friday shooting in La Grange

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted for the shooting that occurred on Cypress Grove Dr. La Grange on Friday, Feb. 3.

Warrants have been issued for 20-year-old Michael Ray Stevens II for charges including attempted first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, larceny of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.

Anyone with information concerning this subject is encouraged to contact Lenoir County Crime Stoppers at 252-523-4444. Calls are confidential and anonymous. Callers may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
