Event: Lenoir/Greene United Way celebrates 90th anniversary

Kinston, N.C. – The “Secret Garden” garden party celebrating 90 years of Lenoir/Greene United Way takes place on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Kinston Country Club.  A full evening is planned with the presentation of the 2022 Lighthouse Award, live music by “Liquid Pleasure” and a silent auction featuring custom art by local artist, Seraphim Smith.  The evening kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails, 6:30 p.m. remarks and presentation followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. and live music.

The Lenoir/Greene United Way Secret Garden Party is a celebration of Schechter Leadership Donors who graciously support our United Way and the 15 nonprofit organizations Lenoir/Greene United Way funds.  This event is also a celebration of new growth – new friendships and new possibilities for our community!  The Lighthouse Award recognizes an outstanding legacy donor who has contributed greatly to Lenoir/Greene United Way.  The first recipient in 2021 was the late Pearl Schechter, a true servant leader.  The 2022 Lighthouse Award is presented by Lenoir Community College.

Tickets are $90/couple or $45/individual for this special event.  Attendees are encouraged to wear their best “summer chic!”  Tickets are available by Venmo @LenoirGreene-UnitedWay. You can also purchase and RSVP to Laura Monroe at (252) 527-0734 or email intern@lenoircouw.org. *Please RSVP by July 11th as we anticipate a large crowd!
