Team Henry walked for Parkinson's Awareness at UNC Lenoir Health Care

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month. Parkinson's is said to be one of the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. At this time, there is no cure.

The Kinston Parkinson’s Support Group facilitators, Judy Heath, Sandra Sutton, Bonnie Killingsworth, and Terry Rouse organized a Parkinson’s Awareness walk at UNC Lenoir Health Care.

Calling themselves Team Henry, in honor and memory of Henry Heath, the late husband of Judy Heath, members and supporters of the Kinston Parkinson’s Support Group walked the track offered by UNC Lenoir.

Henry and Judy started the support group over 15 years ago. The group meets the third Wednesday of each month at 2:00 pm at Airy Grove Christian Church, 1591 Airy Grove Church Road in Kinston.

The sponsors of the Walk for Parkinson’s Awareness were UNC Lenoir Health Care and Airy Grove Christian Church.
