Police Department discovers 20 lbs of marijuana during vehicle stop

On June 30, 2021, Officer Jones with the Kinston Police Department conducted a vehicle stop on W. Vernon Ave. for a traffic violation. During the vehicle stop over 20 pounds of marijuana were located inside the vehicle. The driver was identified as Dominique Graham, age 36 of Kinston, NC. Graham was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking Marijuana, Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substance and Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver a Controlled Substance.

The Kinston Police Department places a high priority on investigating illegal drug crimes and the use and/or sale of illegal narcotics affects the quality of life of all our citizens.
