Public Health Nurse II: Regular, Full-Time, Position #5110-20-056
Salary Range: $44,133 - $60,838 Primary Purpose of Position: The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate Family Planning services. This position will schedule clinics and provide educational and assessment needs for these clinics. This position will also ensure program guidelines are met and initiate changes and/or new programs in a timely manner. This position will function as an adult health nurse and provide quality services in all clinics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
l. Thorough knowledge of policies and procedures of all Adult Health Programs.
2. Physical assessment skills in Maternity and STD.
3. Ability to use good judgment and make independent decisions.
4. Ability to work and deal effectively with patients, staff, and other health professionals.
5. Ability to remain calm and function efficiently in emergency and stressful situations.
6. Thorough knowledge about Electronic Health Record. Minimum Education and Experience: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing, which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation; or Master’s in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing; or graduation from a school of professional nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
