Local gospel legend releases his memoir ‘One Old Man Can’t Be All That Bad’

Local Gospel Legend, Ed O’Neal recently released his memoir, ‘One Old Man Can’t Be All That Bad’, a compilation of stories from his time singing with and leading The Dixie Melody Boys for over 56 years.

Stephanie Towne was able to sit down with Ed O’Neal and his son, Allen O’Neal, to record some of the memories of traveling on the road and the reasons why he wanted to write this book. Allen O’Neal, a founding member of the musical group Jackson Heights which had the song “Riding the Wind” recently named #1 on the Christian Country Chart, shared that he is grateful his dad didn’t put too many embarrassing things in the book about him.

Ed O’Neal will be signing his new release on Saturday, August 22nd from 9 am - 12 noon in the lobby at Tanglewood Church of God in Kinston, NC.  Social distancing will be followed.
