Kinston Police make arrest from Sunday shooting
**Shooting Update / Arrest Made in Shooting**
On October 18th, 2020, at approximately 5:30 pm, Officers with the Kinston Police Department were dispatched to the report of a subject that had been shot near the 400 block of N. Adkin Street, Kinston, N.C. Upon arrival officers were advised by community members that a 15-year-old juvenile subject had been shot and was taken to UNC Lenoir by a relative. The juvenile has since recovered from his injuries.
On October 21, 2020, officers with the Kinston Police Department obtained arrest warrants for Tyrionta Tyquan Dail (age 22) of Kinston for 2 counts of Attempted 1st Degree Murder. Dail was arrested and placed in the Lenoir County Detention Center under a secured bond.
