Lenoir County Health Department Public Health Nurse II

SALARY RANGE: $36,788 - $64,919

The primary purpose of this position is to:

Provide direct client care in all clinical settings, home visiting and all health care activities related to the prevention and control of communicable disease and tuberculosis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of policies and procedures of TB/CD and Lenoir County Health Department. Ability to make good judgement and notify supervisor.
Ability to work/deal effectively with patients, staff and other professionals.
Ability to remain calm and function efficiently in emergency and stressful situations.

Required Minimum Training: Graduation from a school of professional nursing and three years of professional nursing experience including two years of Public Health nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Required License/Certification: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina by the N.C. Board of Nursing.
Must also have a valid N.C. driver's license.
