Spirit AeroSystems recently donated $8,630 to Lenoir/Greene United Way. The donation will support the work of multiple area nonprofit organizations that receive funding support through Lenoir/Greene United Way.

Of the total amount donated, $5,000 was given by the Spirit Golf Charity Classic which is held annually in Wichita, Kansas. The other $3,630 was given by the local employees of Spirit here in Kinston through their Good Neighbor Fund.

“At Spirit, we believe that the opportunity to do business in a community comes with a responsibility to give back,” said John Beilman, Spirit AeroSystems Facilities Director and President of the Kinston Good Neighbor Fund. “We are proud of the way we serve by helping, growing and connecting our communities through partnering with organizations like Lenoir/Greene United Way.”

“Lenoir/Greene United Way sincerely appreciates this kind donation by Spirit AeroSystems and their employees, who are so committed to our community, added Molly Taylor, Executive Director of Lenoir/Greene United Way.  We are very grateful for the friendship and support we have with Spirit AeroSystems and look forward to many opportunities to partner in the future.
