The Lenoir Community College Automotive class recently toured Jennings Transmission Company of Goldsboro and utilized the company’s transmission dynamometer. While there, they were able to see the progression of an automatic transmission rebuild from a scrapped core to being a final product tested on the transmission dynamometer.

Also, the students took with them to be tested a GM automatic transaxle, donated to the program by Jennings, that they had subsequently overhauled. The unit tested out successfully, indicating the group had correctly overhauled the complicated transaxle. Jennings Automatic Transmission Co. presented the students with t-shirts and provided lunch.
