Greene Central’s strong second half overwhelms Farmville Central
SNOW HILL — Greene Central totaled seven goals in the second half of its 10-1 win over Farmville Central Wednesday.
The Rams (6-2) led 3-1 at halftime before taking over completely after the break. Alan Rubio had a hat trick and an assist with Ariel Nunez and Jose Morquecho scoring two goals each and Nathan Drake, Ulises Mora and Nolberto Castillo providing one a piece. Mora had two assists with Nunez, Eduardo Gonzalez, Felipe Hinojosa, Flabio Rubio and Mark Roman adding one each.
Greene Central hosts South Lenoir Monday.
APA struggles against Coastal Christian
The Patriots fell 8-2 to Coastal Christian Wednesday, as the Centurions improved to 10-1-1 on the season.
Harris Barker and Caleb Allen each scored goals for APA (6-5) with Jesse Morquecho adding an assist.
