Rotary Club of Kinston taking applications for grants

The Rotary Club of Kinston recently announced its 2018-19 grants program.

On Monday, Club President Barbara LaRoque made the announcement about the grants, which is set to offer financial support for community projects and programs with an aim of making improvements in the Lenoir County quality of life.

The Rotary Club of Kinston contributed $43,426.38 to 20 Lenoir County non-profit agencies between 2014 and 2018, including the Kinston-Lenoir County Boys and Girls Club, Kinston-Lenoir County Library, the Salvation Army and the Friends of the Homeless. Money for grants are raised by the club’s fundraising events throughout the year.

“These grants are live expressions of our club’s leadership service in the community,” LaRoque stated in a press release. “The aim of the club to make substantial investments in signature projects what will make a real difference in the life of Lenoir.”

The deadline to fill out a grant application is May 15. Proposals can be submitted to Rotary Club of Kinston, P.O. Box 5341, Kinston N.C., 28503.
