Harvey Enterprises honors its 20 year employees

Employees with 20 years of service with the Harvey Group were honored recently by the Harvey family with a contribution to the C. Felix Harvey, Jr. Scholarship through the Lenoir Community College Foundation. The scholarship was established in 1985. Harvey Enterprises & Affiliates recently celebrated its employees who have devoted 20 years of service to the company honoring a long-time tradition with Lenoir Community College.

Jack McNairy, Senior Vice President of Harvey Fertilizer and Gas, thanked the employees for their service. A luncheon was held in the employees’ honor at the Culinary Arts dining room at Lenoir Community College. “This is a great opportunity to honor our employees and to help others.”

LCC President Dr. Rusty Hunt said the Harvey family has always been supportive of LCC. The Harvey Endowment represents the largest single scholarship at the college.

“The scholarships have helped hundreds of students over the years reach their educational goals,” he said. “We appreciate the Harvey family for their generosity.”

Director of the LCC Foundation Jeanne Kennedy said the scholarship began in 1985-1986 academic year. 

“We are thankful for the continued support because it allows us to provide students opportunities to pursue their educational dreams,” she said.
