LCC Pink Night raises over $2,500

Lenoir Community College Lady Lancers Volleyball Team took to the court Thursday celebrating Pink Night in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and walked away with a win against Pitt Community College. Scores for the evening were 25-23, 25-22, 25-22!

Not only did the Lancers win on the court, but the team, the LCC Student Government Association and the College’s student clubs raised close to $2,500 for the Rady Lady Foundation, Inc. to share with others in need who struggle with cancer. Those who came out to support the efforts also were part of a special tailgating experience before the game.

“It was an incredible night and I am grateful to be a part of such a generous group of people,” LCC Director of Student Support Shelly Barnes said. “We hope people will come out and support LCC athletics.”
