Lenoir County Buildings and Grounds Maintenance

Maintenance Worker I: Regular; Full-time; Salary Range: $19,342-$34,130

This position performs routine unskilled and semi-skilled manual work, maintenance, and repairs in a variety of buildings and grounds.

Qualifications: Individual must be a steady, reliable worker. Must be able to read instructions and follow diagrams; perform tasks independently after being given instructions; must have general knowledge of equipment used in the building trades and must possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Physical Qualifications: Manual dexterity sufficient to using hand tools; ability to stand, crouch, and climb to perform repairs, use ladders, and perform various types of manual labor; ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and vision (with correction) sufficient for reading and performing repairs.
