Update: Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 10:18 a.m.

Representatives from the State Board of Elections are on their way to Lenoir County after technical issues prevented results from being broadcasted Tuesday night.

"There was a discrepancy in one-stop votes and the State Board of Elections is coming to help fix the problem," Lenoir County BOE Supervisor Jean Alphin said. "It's not that we lost votes; there was some trouble reading them in."

BOE Director Dana King said the decision to shut down came after noting the discrepancies and there’s optimism of issues being rectified shortly.

"We stopped posting after the discrepancy was noted and now, we’re waiting for the State Board to come,” King said. “We hope to have the problem fixed soon.”

Due to technical issues at the Lenoir County Board of Elections, results are unavailable and will not be available until further notice. the LCBOE has closed for the night.

Neuse News will have the results as soon as possible.
