Letter to the Editor: Rep. Greg Murphy endorses Chris Humphrey
Serving in the General Assembly is a challenging and complex task. One is asked to be an expert on so many things and make decisions on so many important but varied issues.
The pace is quick and requires experience and intelligence. N.C. House District 12, Lenoir and southern Pitt County, needs someone who can handle the pressure, bring the life and business experience needed and deliver on promises made. Chris Humphrey is just that person.
Chris Humphrey grew up in Lenoir County, went to school here and raised his family here. A man of faith, he has put his faith into action and taken care of his community. He has been a county commissioner, been a Rotarian and served on the Lenoir Community College Board of Trustees. He is a man who cares deeply about his home and the people who live here.
Sure, he could rest easy and just enjoy the fruits of his hard labor and successful business. He has worked hard and done well. But that is just not who Chris Humphrey is. He is a man who gives back the many blessings he has received and helps the people of his community that he loves.
Raleigh is a tough place. There is a great fight between cites and rural North Carolina for resources. District 12 needs someone who has proven they can deal with tough challenges and come out successful for their constituents.
I know Chris and know he is the right man at the right time for District 12. We desperately need more people like him in Raleigh who are hard working, willing to work across the aisle and do what is needed to get the job done for those who elect them.
We need more legislators like him in Raleigh who are hard working, will to reach across the aisle and get the job done for the people who elect them.
Please join me in supporting Chris Humphrey for District 12 in the North Carolina House of Representative.
Representative Greg Murphy, MD
N.C. House District 9 Pitt County
