South Lenoir (1-2) at Kinston (4-0), 7 p.m.
It’s been a while since both teams have seen the gridiron in competitive play. The Vikings’ last game took place on Sept. 6, a 49-6 victory over Jones Senior while the Blue Devils fell to Richlands 48-0 on Sept. 7. Kinston hasn’t lost to South Lenoir in 13 years where the Blue Devils won 28-0 on Aug. 26, 2005. The Vikings won 36-13 last year in Deep Run and when the teams met in Kinston in 2016, South Lenoir fell 27-13.

Greene Central (3-2) at Farmville Central (1-4), 7 p.m.
Both teams have been able to play more recently with the Rams getting a 28-0 win over Washington in their Eastern Carolina Conference opener Sept. 21 and the Jaguars falling to West Carteret 42-34 a week later. Farmville Central is facing its fourth ECC opponent, defeating North Lenoir, but losing to Kinston and Ayden-Grifton. The last two meetings have been close, as the Jaguars defeated the Rams 24-20 last season and Greene Central won 27-20 in 2016.
