Eastern Carolina Showmanship Circuit Jones, Craven, Pamlico Livestock show
On August 18 & 19, 2023 Jones, Craven, and Pamlico Counties will be holding a livestock show at the Lenoir County Livestock Arena. This show will be a part of the 11 show showmanship circuit in our district. Showmanship rules are to be announced.

Lady anglers from Kinston make a splash at Big Rock Keli Wagner Lady Angler Tournament
On Saturday, over 266 boats competed in the annual Big Rock Keli Wagner Lady Angler Tournament. Mama Tried, captained by Lenoir County native Tyler Everett, brought in a massive 41.9lb Wahoo to the Weigh Station, earning the team $20,482.

Recreational Fishing License sales and Vessel Registrations unavailable end of June
The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission is launching a new license and vessel registration system July 1. As part of the transition to the new system, hunting and fishing licenses — including Coastal Recreational Fishing Licenses — and vessel registrations will be unavailable for purchase from 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 27 to 8 a.m. Saturday, July 1.
