LCC ADN Student Receives Daisy Award

Lenoir Community College Associate Degree Nursing student Alysha Collins of Pollocksville (center) was presented the Daisy Award for extraordinary nursing students by Christina Miller, Vice President of Patient Care Services, Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at ECU Health Duplin (far right). She was nominated by the LCC Health Sciences faculty. The Daisy Award is presented to celebrate and recognize nurses who every day go above and beyond to not only provide patients and families with excellence in clinical care but also compassion. Collins will graduate in May and plans to work at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville in the ICU where she currently works as a nursing assistant.
