Kinston man arrested on fentanyl distribution charges

A 32-year-old man was arrested earlier this week on fentanyl distribution charges.

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit conducted a narcotics investigation on Zeke Lafferty of Kinston. As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued, consisting of four counts of trafficking opium/heroin and conspiracy to traffic opium/heroin.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office located and served the outstanding arrest warrant on Lafferty on Tuesday. Lafferty was given a secured bond and is currently confined in the Lenoir County Detention Center.
